Provides 24/7 residential state-of-the-art treatment for Indiana’s abused and neglected children.
The Home serves youth who have experienced sexual abuse, neglect, family violence and trauma. The Children’s Home offers a safe, healing environment with our proven trauma-informed care.
The focus of our comprehensive healing care is to provide youth a safe place to live. The services include therapeutic counseling, psychiatric care, medical and dental care, aftercare, spiritual development and the acclaimed Teaching Family Model.
Counseling & Psychiatric Services
Through the counseling services, residents are assigned a therapist who provides clinical services such as individual, group and/or family counseling. Psychiatric services help facilitate positive change among our youth.
This program focuses on independent living skills development and includes teaching and guidance with money management, employment, time management, post-secondary education and career prep, positive socialization with peers and adults, and safe decision making.
Requests for admission may be made by telephone, letter or e-mail. Indiana United Methodist Children’s Home accepts referrals from the Indiana Department of Child Services, Juvenile Probation, private placements and other sources.
