The Indiana United Methodist Children’s Home has a rich tradition of support from donors, churches and organizations who partner in our children’s mission. Two recognition programs include our Angie Godwin Society for annual giving of $1,000 or more and John Wesley Circle for legacy giving. The Foundation also recognizes memorial and honor gifts of any amount and honors donors through naming space on campus for major giving. See the information below about all these ways the Foundation recognizes your support of our children’s mission.

Angie Godwin Society Recognition
Your gifts to our mission help children in crisis find happiness and grow to lead independent lives. Annual donors and churches of $1,000 or more – in one gift or throughout a calendar year are recognized as Angie Godwin Society donors. Miss Godwin was the founder of the Children’s Home more than 100 years ago. Her vision has endured because of generous donors like you! These loyal partners are listed in the Home’s newsletter and are invited to special events.
John Wesley Circle Recognition – “Do All The Good You Can”
The John Wesley Circle of donors have included the Children’s Home Foundation in their planned giving, which can be a future or current gift made from their assets. You do not need to be wealthy to make a planned gift or legacy gift. Many legacy gifts benefit you, your family and the charities or missions you care about. There has never been a more urgent need for us to share the opportunity with our supporters to consider investing in a personal legacy gift to help support the future of our children’s ministry. Tribute Gift Recognition
Honorary Gifts: Donors of any amount to the Children’s Home can designate their tax-deductible gift as an honorary gift to recognize a loved one’s important accomplishment or milestone or the importance of the honoree in their life. Donors are invited to include a short note of appreciation. Your unique gift helps children in crisis while also serving to wish a loved one a happy birthday, congratulations on a milestone or appreciation for friendship or kind gesture. The Foundation sends a letter to the honored person to let them know about the thoughtful recognition of the donor.
Memorial Gifts
Donors of any amount to the Children’s Home can designate their tax-deductible gift as a memorial to express their condolences. The Foundation sends a letter to the deceased person’s family to let them know of the donor’s thoughtful gift.
All Tribute Gifts are listed twice each year in the Home’s quarterly newsletter. Click here to see the most recent tribute list.
Major Gift Recognition
Commemorative gift opportunities offer our friends numerous ways to establish named gifts as memorials and testimonials to family and friends. Such gifts embody the donor’s ideals, allowing the donor to leave a legacy of support to ensure a strong future for the children we serve.
Major gifts can be pledged and gifted over several years. Such gifts to the Foundation can be recognized by naming programs, rooms or buildings at the Children’s Home. Gifts can be made in memory or honor of a loved one or to leave a legacy of support and inspire other donors to make gifts.
Naming opportunities are humbly presented as recognition of generous gifts. These gifts can be a combination of pledges over several years or combination of gifts now and legacy gifts in a donor’s estate plans. Click here for naming ideas.
