Reverend Perry Montgomery

It is a true joy to serve the youth and staff at IUMCH. I bring over 25 years of youth ministry experience and it’s my desire to meet the youth where they are on their faith journey. I am motivated by Paul’s writing in Romans 10:14

“But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him?

And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them?”

It is an amazing experience to see the Holy Spirit begin to work in the lives of the youth and a privilege for me to be a part of their faith journey.

“And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.” 1 Corinthians 13:13

Indiana United Methodist Children’s Home believes the opportunity exists for spiritual growth and development in each person. Youth are given the opportunity to attend worship services on Wednesday evenings at Gress Memorial Chapel, located on the Home’s campus. They also may participate in community outreach projects with nursing homes and local service organizations.

The chapel also features a coffee house called Higher Grounds. It is a place where youth, staff and guests can go for fellowship and reflection. Small groups of our youth meet at Higher Grounds for Bible study and for other spiritual development programs.

Also offered are: customized Bible studies, and attending Christian concerts and convocations featuring motivational speakers.

“Do all the good you can.
By all the means you can.
In all the ways you can.
In all the places you can.
At all the times you can.
To all the people you can.
As long as ever you can.”

– John Wesley
